Like his brother, Mario, Luigi is depicted as a portly plumber (and somewhat a coward) who also lives in the Mushroom Kingdom led by Princess Peach. It's also said that both of the brothers originated from Brooklyn, NY, according to the TV series. His first appearance was in "Mario Bros," as a CO-OP player 2. However, later in the years, he saves Princess Peach alongside Mario in numerous games (although his "love interest" is Princess Daisy), but is often considered to be Mario's "shadow."

In M.U.G.E.N 1.0, Better Luigi is pretty much similar to Better Mario, in which he has effects, attacks, and taunts based on SSBU, SMBZ, blah blah blah. The only thing different is that his "Mr.L" form makes a debut in the character, as well as the power-ups but they're pretty much cliche so it's practically pointless explaining them. Oh yeah, he also has less winquotes.

- Directed victory quote against yoshi to super better yoshi
- Fixed glitch where poultergeist hyper doesn't respond to clone edits
- Speaking of which, a complete overhaul with the 12th palette has been made
  - Instead of "super luigi," it's now called "Super Better Luiginoids."
  - 12th Palette also comes with a special intro, victoryquote, and many special effects.
  - Activate 12th palette with "s+z" to see it in action. 

V1.25: "Fixin' the nightmares"
- Lowered the amount of clones by 2 in the 12th palette (now only 4 will appear instead of 6)
- Nerfed the AI for the 12th palette by blacklisting any hyper moves that cost more than 1000 power levels; likewise, the OHKO move will be disabled for the 12th palette only.
- Tweaked any glitches present in the 12th palette to the best of my ability.
- Changed Mario assist's win pose animation

V2: Update of the Weeg
- Apart from adding new ones, a lot of the sprites and animations received a significant overhaul and have either been polished or replaced.
- Added a new intro and winpose + remade one of the winposes
- Removed "flutter"
- Added burnt animation to Ultimate Jump Punch
- Luigi can now walljump/wallkick
- Added lighting vfx to "Electric Palm"
- Revamped Mario's assist winpose
- Mario/Blue and Yellow toad no longer stop in the middle of their attack animation to do their win/lose pose
- Mario now faces Luigi during his lose pose + reacts when Luigi is hit by the yellow koopa bros.
- Revamped Propeller Luigi into "Propeller Tornado" and added an EX version
- Added an aerial grab to P-Squirrel Dive as well as an extra follow-up attack
- Updated chip damages on several specials
- Added a new Silverball animation that aims opponents at a close distance from below
- Updated Silverball's sound effects with a lower pitch + echo
